Villedieu-les-Poêles is blessed with a unique network of businesses in France that have specialized in the working of copper, lace-making, bell-making and design craftsmanship, for several centuries.
Each year, the "city of copper" offers exhibitions through its "Pôle d’Excellence Métiers d’Art" in order to highlight the skills of the many craftsmen living and working in the Bay of Mont Saint-Michel .
The 2012 edition of the Journée Européenne des Métiers d'Art will take place on the 30 and 31 of March and on the 1st of April , with the theme "La Rencontre " with shows, lectures and open door on the agenda.
